Here at UpBeat, we’re grateful for another year of mentorship, learning, and growing together. As we reflect on the year, we’re reminded of our students’ talent, their moments of persevering through difficulty, and their joy after playing a piece they thought was beyond their reach.
Sharing the joy of music is important, but unfortunately, many young people in Chicago are deprived of this opportunity due to the arts being cut from public schools and the cost of extracurricular music instruction.
Every student deserves a chance to explore the arts, discover their creativity, and find their passion. UpBeat’s scholarship program is offering that chance, providing excellent instruction, caring mentorship, and a vibrant community to students who can’t afford it.
