Russ has been teaching drums in the Chicago area for over fifteen years. A graduate of Musician’s Institute in Hollywood, CA, Russ has twenty plus years of playing and teaching experience. From beginners to advanced players, Russ has enforced exercises that build solid technique and foundational understanding for long term success.

For over three decades, music shops and parents have trusted Russ to teach in homes and businesses with kids and adults alike. Through respect for the art and history of drumming, Russ teaches fun lessons that allow students to develop their ability to play along to music and rip radical drum solos.
